Using IP Lookup

Inspect publicly available location and network information associated with a public IP address. This can help identify the network announcing an address or investigate a connection issue. Results describe the address and its network, not the identity of the person using it.

Worked example

Look up a public address that you are authorized to investigate and compare its reported network provider with your expectations. A VPN or proxy can cause the result to describe the VPN exit network rather than the device’s physical location. A mobile connection can appear in a different city from the user.

What to check and what this tool cannot do

Geolocation is approximate and can be outdated. Private addresses such as 192.168.1.10 are not globally routable public locations. Network ownership, routing, and address assignments can change. No single lookup establishes that an address is malicious, that a visitor lives in a particular place, or that a person owns a domain.

Getting a useful result

Confirm that you copied the complete IPv4 or IPv6 address. Record when a lookup was made if you need to compare results later. This tool submits the lookup target to server-side services; do not enter private identifiers or use the output as proof of a person’s location. Provider outages or rate limits may temporarily prevent a result.

Where processing happens

This lookup sends the IP address or domain you enter to EazyToolzy’s server-side lookup infrastructure. A lookup may be cached or supplied by an external data provider. Use public targets and expect approximate or delayed information. See how tools work and our privacy policy.
